Littlewood Street, Hampton

Residential Pre-Auction Maintenance

Renovations to one room had left some minor damage on the inside of this Hampton property. Beyond that repair, the rest of the job was straightforward, with small imperfections touched up in a few rooms, the kind of detail that matters when an owner is getting a home ready to sell before auction.

  • Repair damage caused inside the property prior to painting
  • Prepare and paint the interior of a single storey property for auction

Bayview Street, Beaumaris

Residential Exterior Painting

The homeowners brought in a colour consultant to help choose a scheme that would lift the street appeal of this Beaumaris home. Our painting work formed part of a larger renovation, applying the new exterior colours that pulled the whole transformation together and gave the property real kerb appeal on the day it mattered most.

  • Preparation of the existing exterior surfaces
  • Full exterior colour change

Jennings Street, Sandringham

Residential Cosmetic Painting of Exterior

This wasn't the first time we'd worked with this family. Moving into a new home, they wanted to make it their own rather than just move in. The existing native colour scheme would have done the job, but there was room for a bolder, more modern statement. Using colour visualisation, the owners picked their new scheme with confidence, and the results spoke for themselves.

  • Prepare and paint weatherboard exterior surfaces
  • Colour consultancy with colour visualisation
  • Minor cosmetic repair work

Roslyn Street, Brighton East

Residential Interior and Exterior Cosmetic Renovation

Before work began, asbestos was discovered in the walls and flooring of the kitchen and rear living area. Once it was safe to proceed, we trialled colours in different parts of the interior to find the right fit. Working alongside other trades, it was satisfying to watch the home evolve into a light, airy, open plan space, staged around the wider renovation schedule.

  • Prepare and paint relined plaster walls
  • Prepare and paint interior and exterior of a double storey property for auction
  • Minor cosmetic repair work

Granville Street, Camberwell

Residential Cosmetic Painting of Exterior

The clients wanted a cosmetic transformation without any major structural changes. Apart from replacing a few damaged, rotted weatherboards and relandscaping the grounds, the property was close to a blank canvas for painting. With time to talk through the colour scheme while repairs were underway, the final result reflected modern Australian native colours that suited the period of the home.

  • Prepare and paint weatherboard exterior surfaces
  • Strip back exterior of period window frames due to moisture damage
  • Extensive colour consultancy

Thomson Street, South Melbourne

Residential Cosmetic Painting of Exterior

Working through an interior stylist, the brief was to revitalise a tired, weather beaten double storey home on a laneway in Melbourne's inner south. Beyond some minor cracking in the render and graffiti in the back patio area, the work was straightforward, and one we were proud of once the new colour scheme brought the tired facade back to life.

  • Prepare and paint rendered exterior surfaces
  • Remove graffiti from exposed areas
  • Colour consultancy

Studio Equator, Balmain Street

Commercial Surface Treatment

Working with a leading design studio to help shape the external appearance of their building was a rewarding project. The brief was to create a consistent rusted, corroded effect across six laser cut steel panels spanning the void at the ground floor entrance. Most of the time went into surface preparation and testing the rusting material, since it would affect the panels' long term appearance.

  • Prepare six laser cut steel panels for a rusted, corroded effect
  • Install panels at the ground floor entrance of the design studio

Park Street, Brunswick

Residential Cosmetic Painting of Granny Flat Interior

This granny flat was being converted into a guest room and working studio, and the clients wanted clean, simple lines throughout the modest, self contained space. Reclaimed floorboards from their previous home were earmarked for reuse here, and a feature wall behind the bed, plus another on the bathroom ceiling, captured the mood the owners were after.

  • Prepare and paint interior surfaces
  • Colour consultancy

Lennox Street, Yarraville

Residential Exterior Painting and Interior Renovation

We'd worked with this customer before, this time on a bigger property. It was period style meeting modern living, the original plaster mouldings kept through the front of the home, opening onto an airy, light filled living, kitchen and meals area, a new ensuite, a renovated bathroom, and bi-fold doors onto a small but functional patio.

  • Prepare and paint relined interior plaster and solid brick surfaces
  • Colour consultancy with colour visualisation
  • Minor cosmetic repair work

Ace Parking, Dorcas Street

Exterior Commercial Renovation

We were brought onto this 24 hour car park when our work would cause the least disruption to the business. The job included remarking lines at the entrance and repainting walls marked up by everyday wear and tear, plus painting ceiling sections across two separate floors to help with wayfinding through the building.

  • Prepare ceilings, walls and flooring for painting, two coats by roller and brush
  • Line marking to define parking areas

Barre Body, Chapel Street

Interior Commercial Renovation

We came onto this project once most of the structural renovations were done. With the build nearing completion, the painting had to move quickly, working around furniture and fit out items kept in storage on site. Finishing the job before Barre Body opened its doors meant almost no disruption to the yoga studio's launch.

  • Two coats applied with a High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) spray gun
  • Prepare ceilings, walls and woodwork for painting
  • Mask off mirrors, windows and steel frames

Imitation Brick Feature Wall

Trompe l'oeil Mural

A homeowner had part of a brick wall removed and a plasterboard panel put in its place. Rather than paint it a flat colour, Kimon hand-painted the panel as an imitation brick wall that continues the real brickwork beside it. With a couple of hedges growing in front, most people cannot pick the fake from the real.

  • Hand-painted trompe l'oeil brick finish
  • Colour matched to the existing brickwork
  • A seamless continuation of the real wall
