Terms & Conditions
Fresh Space. Service Engagement Terms
1. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging Fresh Space to perform any service. Including quotes, inspections, installations, or repairs. You agree to these terms. These terms supplement, and are read alongside, any specific quote or work order you sign.
2. Insurance
Fresh Space carries public liability insurance, with a certificate available on request before any work begins.
3. Quotes
Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, subject to site conditions being as represented. Variations discovered on site (lead paint discovery, hidden timber rot, render cracks under existing coatings, or surface preparation taking longer than visible inspection indicated) will be discussed with you before any additional work proceeds.
4. Deposit and Payment
For installations, a deposit (typically 20%) is payable on acceptance of the quote, with the balance due on completion. Smaller service calls are invoiced on completion. Payment terms are 7 days from invoice unless otherwise agreed. We accept bank transfer and credit card (surcharge applies).
5. Scheduling and Access
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work site on the scheduled day and to identify any hazards or restrictions (pets, children, shared walls, asbestos materials). Where access cannot be provided, reasonable waiting time may be billed.
6. Site Conditions and Safety
All work follows recognised Australian painting and safe-work practices where applicable, including surface preparation, drop-sheets and ventilation on every job. Waste paint and solvents are disposed of in line with EPA requirements.
7. Workmanship Warranty
Fresh Space stands behind its workmanship and backs every job with a satisfaction guarantee. If a fault appears as a result of our work, we will put it right. Any paint-manufacturer warranty on the products used is passed through to you.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel up to 48 hours before the scheduled start with any deposit refunded in full. Cancellation within 48 hours may incur a reasonable callout fee to cover scheduling and mobilisation.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to re-performing the service or refunding the amount paid for the relevant work. Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any concern about our work should be raised with us first, in writing, so we can inspect and address the issue. Where resolution can't be reached, disputes may be referred to Consumer Affairs Victoria.
For any questions regarding these terms, contact Fresh Space on 0406 868 020.
